Your rights

When you enter into an agreement to buy goods or services, either via a retailer or directly through an installer, you are automatically protected under UK Law and hold rights as a consumer.

In October 2015, the law introduced regulation to protect consumers and clarify to retailers and service providers their obligations when providing goods and services.

The new law comes in the form of the Consumer Rights Act (2015) and replaces three previous pieces of legislation:

– The Sale of Goods Act
– Unfair terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations
– The Supply of Goods & Services Act
