The BiKBBI in 60 seconds

Launched in 2006 and gaining Institute status from the Secretary of State the following year, The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) represents the installation sector in the United Kingdom.

Acting on behalf of the largest network of independently accredited kitchen, bedroom and bathroom installation specialists, the BiKBBI works with a number of strategic partners to deliver its three core pillars: Education, Standards & Support.

Setting the standards

When it comes to kitchen, bedroom and bathroom installation, we believe that only experienced and skilled tradesman make the grade. That’s why one of our main priorities is to set and maintain high standards of installation. Membership to the BiKBBi is recognised as a hallmark for professional excellence in the installation of kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms. Using our simple membership grading system, installer standards are made clear to consumers and reflect the member’s level of experience and expertise.

A voice for KBB installations

We speak out on issues that are relevant to thousands of installers and millions of consumers. From the unique challenges faced by industry newcomers, to the needs of the time-served professional and the consumers they serve.

Here to help

We’re here to help anyone with KBB installation related queries or challenges, whether that be installers, retailers, suppliers, distributors or consumers. Whatever the challenge, The BiKBBI is well placed to give advice and offer specialist support.

Professional installation is all about sharing experiences and knowledge. We aim to create a professional community by frequently staging events and networking sessions and encouraging positive communication within the various channels available to us. We don’t believe excellence in installation is achievable alone.

Developing skills

KBB installation is in high demand throughout the UK which means there is a high demand for skill. On top of the training and development opportunities we provide through our iAcademy , we also run frequent workshops and collaborate with our strategic partners. We’re also working hard on the development of an apprenticeship for KBB installation.
